Beats ’n Eats– A Food + Music Event– hosted by Chef Robert Irvine and presented by Live Nation and Comcast Business– is an immersive, one-of-a-kind food and music experience designed to increase opportunities for our veterans and members of the military. Held Monday, May 21, 2018 at The Fillmore Philadelphia, the event is hosted by Chef Robert Irvine and features a family style, seven-course meal prepared by local and celebrity chefs with live music performances from both established and emerging artists between each course.

Robert Irvine is a world-class chef, fitness authority, and philanthropist who seeks to inspire people to live better each and every day.
Many know Robert as host of the popular Food Network series, Dinner: Impossible, which ran for seven seasons and over one hundred episodes, and later as host of a thirteen-season run of Restaurant: Impossible. At its peak, over one million viewers a week watched Robert not only renovate restaurants and retrain staff in record time, but counsel owners through personal problems that were destroying their businesses.
Additionally, Robert has hosted or appeared on Food Network shows including Worst Cooks in America, Next Iron Chef, Restaurant Express, Chopped: Impossible and many more.
Robert is a tireless supporter of our nation’s military. He believes that none of his success would be possible without the brave men and women who defend our freedoms. For that reason, Robert founded The Robert Irvine Foundation in 2014 to support veterans and their causes. Grants have been awarded to the USO, Valor Service Dogs, the Gary Sinise Foundation, and the American Veterans Center.
In addition to many awards and accolades, Robert is a proud recipient of the US Department of the Army Outstanding Civilian Service Award in Spring 2016.

schoolly d – the "Godfather of Gangsta Rap" & Renaissance Man
Jesse B. Weaver, since christened "Schoolly D", is one of the most iconic figures in rap music. Starting with his influential role in the creation of gangsta rap, Schoolly D has transcended the boundaries of genre and has created "rap" music that has been integrated in films, animated series, and sampled by some of the most prolific acts around including Lil' Wayne, The Chemical Brothers, and The Roots.
Deemed a "pioneer..." by Jay-Z (Decoded, 09) and credited by Ice T as having the first gangsta rap record (PROPS magazine), Schoolly D's career has given inspiration to countless musicians and fans alike. Songs like "Gucci Time", "Saturday Night" and "P.S.K. What Does It Mean?" have become classics and illustrate the uncompromising narrative that has become synonymous with the hardcore gangsta rap of the eighties. His true-to-life lyrics give a snap shot of the streets of his hometown, Philadelphia, and the influences that drugs and gang life had on him as a young man.
chill moody – philadelphia music ambassador & hip hop artist
Chill Moody cemented his status as one of the top lyricists & performers to hit Philadelphia in years when he won “Best Rapper” in Philadelphia Magazine’s annual “Best of Philly” issue. He was also named Philadelphia’s Music Ambassador by Councilman David Oh, due to his tireless efforts to "put the city on" as well as his local & national accomplishments over the years. A West Philadelphia native, his lifestyle brand “nicethings” now includes clothing, a digital distribution label (nicethingsMUSIC), and even a line of craft beer (nicethingsIPA, a collaboration with Dock Street Brewery).
ZEEK BURSE – ROCK & SOUL ARTIST
With a voice that captivates and can draw stirring emotions while weaving through multiple genres of music, Zeek Burse, previously known as “The Experience” for just that reason, brings a fierce artistic dynamic to the stage. Zeek's performances have spanned across the United States, Paris and in London, UK. He was also the voice of the theme song "We Need Hope" on Italy's TV show "Carpool Karaoke." Zeek's latest album "XXII" is a soulful rocker's heartfelt, yet provocative expression of a personal journey. Through his passion to create change in the world as a Humanitarian, Zeek has partnered with various local and world-wide organizations via performances to help spread their philanthropic message and fundraise for their cause. He was recently honored from the “Made Man” organization for his positive influence in the community. He was also listed on the Top 40 list of Philadelphia, Billy Penn’s “Who’s Next” to watch for in music. Zeek has a spark that lights up the stage and the hearts of his listeners wherever he goes. ERIC DASH – SINGER/SONGWRITER
Eric Dash is an LA based singer/songwriter who has worked with many Grammy award winning talents. He’s had a Top 40 single and is now turning heads on YouTube once again with his newest, “Freedom”, which has gone viral at nearly 1 million views and was produced by Jack Joseph Puig, John Mayer/Black Crowes. Eric will be dropping his latest EP summer of 2018 and Touring.
NINA ROSEN – SINGER/SONGWRITER
Nina Rosen is an American singer, songwriter, music and vocal producer, saxophonist and arranger born in Philadelphia. A graduate of Berklee College of Music as a principal saxophonist and Music Production & Engineering and Songwriting major, she recorded a jazz album in collaboration with Jetro Da Silva (late Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder’s music director) and others. She also toured with recording artist Austin Brown, and worked at Clive Davis Studios with production duo Day Trip and super producer Brandon Hodge “B.A.M.” (Atlanta), vocal producing artists like Zendaya, Musiq Soulchild, Jessie J, and more. She continued writing over the next four years– catching the eye of producers like Timbaland, Lil Ronnie, and DJ Swivel.
She is now pursuing her career as an artist, focusing on writing and producing her own material. She has recorded over 60 records and is currently in the final stages of recording. Her first album is expected to be released in late 2018.

The Robert Irvine Foundation’s primary focus is on giving-back and supporting our military personnel (active, retired, and veterans) and first responders through morale and welfare programs, in addition to financial support of properly vetted Veterans' Organizations.
Since the foundation's creation, they have fed over 125,000 wounded warriors and their caregivers through their partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation, supported the building of smart homes for severely handicapped service members, and funded a number of local and regional programs designed to bring joy or lighten the burdens of our nation's heroes.
They strive to create awareness throughout the community of the sacrifices made by our military personnel, first responders, and their families; and, inspire community support for the men and women defending our freedom at home and abroad.

Both VIP and General Admission tables can be purchased either through the ticket website, or directly through the Robert Irvine Foundation (as a tax deductible donation). Tables and individual tickets may be donated to local veterans and their spouses, and tickets will be distributed through our partnership with local area veterans service organizations.
